Here is my latest interview with Polk from Project Born....
Thanks Polk for taking the time out to do this interview exclusively for JuggaloNews.com... Anytime anytime
Born Dead 2: The Return of the Reaper drops on the 26th of this month... Are you guys excited about this release?
Yeah hell yeah highly excited
What can fans expect from this release? Any new sounds or different approaches to the making of the full length release? A more mature Project Born it's totally different than the 1st, even better.
Any collab work on it? ICP, Esham, Bizarre, Mars, Scum...And many more...
Holy Crap! Thats fuckin crazy.. thats some top talent you got on there.. How was it working with ICP & Esham again?
Shit that's family, so it's always good to come back and work with them again.
Yeah... was this your first time working with Mars & Scum?
Mars & Scum yeah as far as collaboration wise
I love the energy and the in your face attitude the three of you put into your tracks.. where does all that influence come from?
Being on the grind, lookin in our kids faces knowin that we doin this for them, seeing the everyday struggle from all the people around here, that keeps us aggressive
Well said.. As far as Flint goes, do you guys contribute back to your community in any way? Like benefits or things like that?
Ahh hell yeah we aint do one this year, we usually do a picnic for kids out in the hood.. Shit we buy the whole hood ice cream. We've just been really busy with the album this year.
Thats real nice... something the world could use more of.. Family love.. and Community love.. Are all three of you guys married / kids?
We all have kids but only one of us are married
So, Project Wear.. you guys planning on blowing up with Merch? Yes, we have a trailer full of merchandise, we have things that are still being orderd also..
Nice.. Anything planned for the future.. Appearing on anybody's releases coming up? Anything in the works to do something with Twiztid? Actually we were supposed to have twizted on the album but due to their busy schedule it didn't happen, it didn't come through, we featured on about 10 artist's albums it's either out now or coming. The demands for Project Born right now are real hot!
Thats what I like to hear.. So, your Label is Project Boy Entertainment... If you were approached by say, Strange or Hatchet House.. would you consider it or are you guys just happy where you are now? We're happy with where were at right now, it just depends on the cash, we got a lot of love for them, we'll be a good sit on either one of those labels so if their reading this tell them to get at us
I completely agree. I could see you on either one with lots to contribute.. How do you see the undergound indie labels today? Or say in 5 years.. It seems like this is a big breaking point for some and not for others.. What are your thoughts? Today the underground is doing good within 5 years I think their will be alot more labels up off the groud doing good...
Learning what To do and what Not to do.. yeah..
Ok, you got that creatively sick promotion going on about 3 winning CD's.... can you explain more how it works and what the lucky bastards will get? Haha, it's going to be a platinum card in 3 albums and who ever get's the platinum cards with a number on it, they'll call in and if their an artist they get a free song with us, we'll fly them out to our release party, they'll get free stuff with us and they'll get to perform with us, if their not artist's we'll fly em out they'll recieve alot of gifts from us and get to come with us to our release party, come hang with us.
WOW! Thats quite a smart promotion. It develops a buzz about the release & increases sales.. Yeah, alot of people come at us saying that they'll buy like 3 albums. This album goes out for the fans, no matter where their at in the world
On a lighter note.. do any of you shoot hoops? if so, who is the best? Me-Polk...I'm the best...My brother is good, Pint aint shit..haha
Bahahaha.. ok.. Drink of Choice for each of you?
Pint-Henessy Nitty-Gin and I (Polk) don't drink at all
Any plans to shoot a video for a track from Born Dead 2? Yeah actually were thinking about a couple of them that were in the talks of with a guy.. We want you in it when we shoot it too.
Da Jedi?? hahah.. sweet.. face paint and black cape? I think videos can be made more economically now with nicer cameras out.. Is it crazy expensive to have one done professionally?
Yea it's expensive depending of what all you want in it.. We've never did no video like on some BET type of shit
There should be amateur and student film makers out there supporting the underground..
Tell us one good funny or crazy story from you personally Polk from the Gathering of the Juggalos.
Last year gathering, shit it was so many of them mothafuckas. Let me think, uhmm I can't even remember, truthfully...There was all kind of shit going on....
Thats a safe answer.. what happens at the Gathering STAYS at the Gathering.. literally.. true dat
I have this theory.. That real rappers do they own laundry... its just a theory im trying out.. Is that true with You, Pint & Nitty?
Hell yeah, we do our own laundry... I wash my own draws. I wash all 6 pairs of my draws... haha... We doing a drive, for Polk's draws...
Hahahaha.. Polk.. Thanks so much.. any last Thank You's or Shout Outs?
Yeah I want to thank you for taking out the time for this interview, to all the fans all the Juggalos for supporting us over the years, Juggalo news, La La for conducting this interview, and everybody else out in the world go out and pick up the new album it's going to be hotter than fish grease!

Good times.. thanks to Polk for the exclusive interview for JN....
Just a reminder, Friday (tomorrow) is the last day to enter your song for the Dirball/Boondox remix contest. Anything recieved after tomorrow will not be eligible for the contest.
I'm not sure where the official JN GOTJ news round up is. Daff is the only one at the GOTJ, and I'm guessing he doesn't have Internet access. One of our readers was nice enough to send in their summary of the GOTJ:
left a day early. You will find out later in the story. The security got gettting into the gathering very long and drawn out. They took everyone down a long ass dirt road. Last year they had everyone just go through the main gate.
Day 1. The Helicopter rides seemed helluva famous with Juggalos. It was $20 per person. They went from 10am till 6pm. It was always going. A group called HeadHurtz freaking killed on the 2nd stage. I have never hear of them, but I was really impressed with their show. AmandA had a beautiful voice, but Juggalos wasn't feeling her. Got to the Main Stage to see Awesome Dre ( he was allright). Motown Rage had a helluva mosh pit going on. Then came AMB. I was really thinking that it was going to get bad for them. They preformed some songs off their "God's Hand" release. Not a fan of AMB, but they had a really good crowd. For the "Opening Cermony" Psychopathic Rydas came out and had the entire crowd going nuts. Their preformance was killer this year! 5 stars on that one! I caught Illuminati. He was really good. ShyOne's set was crazy! He played at 2:30 a.m. and had a pretty good crowd on the 2nd stage. That was the first ShyOne set I have caught. I meet
him in person also. He was awesome on stage and off. This guy really deserves goos things. JReno, CLAAS, and Bizarre ended the night. They was really good also.
Day 2
ICP only Seminar was on this day. Here is the recap of their seminar. First off, they was like 45 minutes late. Whats new huh? lol!
1. They had a film crew there filming for a Gathering DVD. They was everywhere!
2. Talked about the Death Racer movie they did. It will be on DVD in Sept. It isn't a Psy. Records film.
3. They did this to warm up for "Big Money Rustlas". Which they said they was going to start filming as soon as the gotj was over. (Havent we heard this all before). All the Psy. artists will be in the movie. They all will have different names, except for Jumpsteady. He will play Hak Benjamin again. Violent J will play "Big Baby Chips", Shaggy will play "Sugar Wolf". Then J talked about his Solo album. He was going to release it then thought against it. Everyone that was at the seminar got a ticket and anyone that turned in the ticket got a copy of it. They will not be selling it anywhere. It's pretty good. There will be another Shaggy 2 Dope Solo album, and tour coming up. No name on the C.D. yet. Hallowicked will feature 15 to 20 stops this year. Their next tour will be the biggest tour they have ever done. J said they want it to start at like 4 p.m. and end at midnight. Touched on Jumpsteady, driving a ambulance now. But will make his
appearance as Evil Dead next year at gotj. They are going to have a JCW Legends show next year also for gotj. Someone asked about the what happened to Rude Boy. J didn't get into at all. Said you never know where he will pop up at. His kids was at the gathering however.
I checked out Powerglove on the 2nd stage. They was wild to say the least.. The had a toy stuffed bird and threw it in the crowd. Whoever brought the head of the bird got a free C.D. People fought for like 10 minutes for that damn bird. Some 400 pound Somaon guy got it. The JCW Tryouts was tight. Pondo worked the tryouts. It was fans from the gathering. Instead of one guy winning, Pondo gave it to 4. They did some insane bumps. Got to the Main Stage to catch King Gordy's last 2 songs. He did allright. He got a little pissed that these 2 guys was launching water ballons at him. Afroman to me sucked ass. He said he didnt know where the fuck he is, but he is gonna play. ABK came next was awesome. He is sporting a shaved head now. He did some songs off of Mudface. Andrew W.K. came next. He won the annual Bubba Sparaxx award. He lasted about 15 minutes, and some security guard came out and got him off the stage. Last group for the Main Stage was Dark
Lotus. It was the best Dark Lotus show I have ever seen! They put on a killer show! I then went to Oddball wrestling. This was a waste of 2 hours. Alot of trash being thrown at the wrestlers. Took them like a hour to set up for the barbed wire, light tube match. J, Cpl. Robinson, Clay, and Tony all came around to take pictures and kill time while they set up for the match.
Day 3
Started the day going to the ABK seminar. He was really laid back and cool. He played some music off of Mudface. He took alot of questions. He was asked about how does it feel not to be in Lotus. He said he loved his time in Lotus. And would do it again if asked. But he has the tattoos of Dark Lotus and that can't be taken from him. Asked about doing anything with Blaze, he said no. He loves touring, doesnt matter if only 25 people shows up. He was asked about if there is still beef between him and Twiztid. He said that all of that got squashed after last years gotj. They grew up together. He said sometimes family fight, but they still love each other. Asked about if he would be in Rydas again. He said hell yeah if they wanna scoop him up, he would grap his 9 and roll out with them.
Then I went to Day 2 of the JCW tryouts. This one kid they called "Shitstain" he did a crazy insane bump. He climbed all the way up to the top of the rafters and did a 5 star frogsplash. All of the JCW wrestlers, and crowd went nuts!
I then went to the Boondox Seminar. He was really laid back also. Said after filming Big Money Rustlas, he was going back to the studio to do another C.D. He said loves doing Rydas. Alot of will you some to my town questions.. One girl asked to marry him. Talked about fighting Tracy Smothers at Bloodymania.
I missed all the Main Stage acts so I could have front row seats for BloodyMania. Wish I could do that over again. BloodyMania could have been the best JCW card ever! Sexy Slim Goody fought Gangrel. Goody won. Pondo fought Abdullah the Butcher to a no contest. The Bloody Brothers beat Weedman and Human Tornado. Scott D'Amore was on Pipers Pit. Piper whipped his ass. 2 Tuff Tony and Boondox beat Tracy Smothers and BullPain. jWo returned in the form of Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. They beat 2 jobbers. Cpl. Robinson beat Raven in a ladder match. Some Juggalo jumped in the ring and Raven beat his ass. Heres the reason BloodyMania sucked and the gotj sucked overall.
I have been a Juggalo for years. I went to the gathering this year. This was my 3rd straight year going. This year worse by far the worse that I have seen Juggalos act. The drug use, and pushing of drugs was pitiful. Not just pot, but acid, LSD, meth, crack, coke, pcp, etc... And the ages of the kids doing and selling it. I was so embaressed. It was one after another asking to buy their drugs, or did you have drugs. And for the first time at a Gathering, I seen a shit load of fights. Before BloodyMania I watched a girl who weighed maybe 105 lbs get her face crushed by a bigger girl. The fight happened beacuse the little girl pushed the other girls boyfriend. I thought we was family? There were other fights that I witnessed. Saturday night during Bloodymania, Juggalos lived up to every rumor that has been said about them. We all know Juggalos throw Faygo at the wrestlers, but not these Juggalos. They threw trashcans, glass bottles, chairs, tables, fired
bottlerockets, big sticks, you name it, it got thrown at the wrestlers. Kevin Nash even asked for them to stop throwing shit so him and Hall could entertain them. Did they listen, of course not. Juggalos do what they want. After BloodyMania it got even worse. Groups of people was breaking into tents, campers, whatever they could do to wake people up, and see what they could get. I seen a van that had all the windows busted out. Also it is being reported that we lost another Juggalo at the gathering. He was in his mid-20’s. Due to overdose. All I can do think how bad the Gathering has got for people who don’t do drugs, steal, and fight. I have went to my last gathering.
We left on Sunday morning due to all of this dumb shit going on. I will never return to another gathering. ICP needs to get a handle on all of this before something really bad happens.
Thank you,
Jason
Oh yeah here is the list of wrestlers that no showed last night.
1. The Nasty Boys
2. Chris Masters
3. Disco Inferno
4. Trevor Murdoch
5. Sabu
6. Billy Bong
7. Zach Gowen
8. Conrad Kennedy
9. Kowabata
10. Golddust
I wouldn't wanna show up either and have glass bottles, chairs, tables, and other shit thrown at me either. I see this becoming a pattern if ICP don't do something to stop all the dumb bullshit some Juggalos are doing to ruin it for everyone.
I wasn't there, so can't say for sure if it was as bad as he describes. However I know former RJ editor MixMasterMike (I'm sure that's spelled wrong) had his campsite vandalized. The guys doing it got chased off before it went too far. So I don't think its total bullshit about the problems. Big props to Jason for writing this up and sending it in.
Here's the info on the juggalo who died:
CAVE-IN-ROCK - A Juggalo, or fan of the Insane Clown Posse musical group, died Friday evening at the annual Gathering of the Juggalos, a four day-event in its second year at Cave-In-Rock.
Curt Brown, 33, of Holly, Mich., was pronounced dead at 7:19 p.m. Friday, said Hardin County Coroner Roger Little.
Brown, 33, was with friends who left for a short time and returned to find him dead in a tent, the coroner said.
Toxicology tests are being conducted, and it appears Brown's death may be drug-related or a result of natural causes, Little said.
