Ok, so this post is going to remain on the front page and will be updated as we get more news from the Gathering. Right now, we're kinda up shits creek, as no one can get cell phone coverage at the Gathering. Daff is there and I ain't heard shit from him. I also know someone working for Psychopathic, and he can't get coverage there either. I couldn't even get connected to WFUCKOFF last night, which is supposed to be broadcasting live from the GOTJ. First Update: The surprise main stream guest for the opening ceremony was: Mack 10 from Westside Connection.Also, we've got a little treat for you. But we need to wait for word that Psychopathic announced something at the GOTJ before we can post it. Second Update: People have been posting in the comments that it was officially announced at the opening ceremony that the ROC was signed to Hatchet House. I guess this is news, Twiztid confirmed this quite some time ago, but apparently a lot of you missed it.Third Update From former JN editor MyxMastrMike: At ICP's seminar today they said they are 99% through contract negotiations with Anybody Killa and welcome him back to the Hatchet.Sun Morn Update Depending on who you ask, DJ Clay and Motown Rage are also on Hatchet House.Sun Noon Update Faygoluvers has posted their post GOTJ update. You might want to go check it out. Here's the biggest piece of news.Now, I'm hoping that's someone doing a poor job of paraphrasing what was said. But remember after ABK left, he gave an interview and said it was Monoxide who took him aside and told him how he was getting screwed out of money by Psy, and then at the GOTJ Monoxide pretty much ragged on ABK for the entire seminar. So who knows. Their will either be enough drama to keep everyone talking for months, or else it will go completely silent and no one will hear anything about it again. Another Update: The ROC is officially on Psychopathic, not Hatchet House.

It normally leaks early due to it being sent out to distribution a week or so before release. Since these are only for the GOTJ, they aren't going through distro so no early leak. They're not up on Hatchetgear and won't be until next week because everyone who works Hatchetgear is working the merch booth. If you really wanted to hear the new Rydas album, you should have tuned in to WFuckoff radio. As I understand it they played the whole thing during the first GOTJ live show. |

OK, I guess I kind of took the wrong spin on what you said. I've been down since Tunnel of Love, so I know what your talking about with a lot of that. They don't always promote the guys that should be. I feel they have been giving Boondox a good amount of advertising, and I feel he is a good talent to hold on to. As for Twiztid, I think they are the shit, and liked them back when they toured with ICP as HOK. I was glad they were able to sign them, and now that the signing of ROC is official I'm even more excited. I personally liked The Calm, and I listen to The Tempest still more then Independents Day. Don't get me wrong, I thought ID was the shit, but I have always been more down with ICP then anybody else ever in the music industry, cuz of the way they did what they have done, and how they have done so good at it. I think though, that Violent J and Jamie Madrox are the 2 most talented people in all of music, never mind Psychopathic. Not only do they write half of the lyrics for ICP/Twiztid, they write their own lyrics on Lotus, Rydas, and their own solo stuff. Plus, Madrox writes at least 50 percent of Blaze's lyrics, Blaze comes up with concepts and they work on the lyrics together. Violent J helps Boondox with his stuff, helping in coming up with concepts, Boondox writes most of his lyrics, but J helps with the chorus lines. All of this and J still plays a big part in the Psychopathic Records behind the scenes activity, (contracts, concepts, hiring new people...) As far as the "Twiztid is their protege" I know what your saying, it gets old. I read one magazine way back in the day that called Twiztid the "mini-me to the Insane Clown Posse". That did piss me off, cuz they are their own group, they don't try to be like ICP, and I'm not sure they ever really did. Also, just another side not, I know you said Mutant was debatable, but I honestly thought that album was the shit. |

Cuz even on the Green Book, Frankenstein is "Featuring Colton Grundy" not Blaze Ya Dead Homie. He has a lot of talent though. I do like the scarecrow thing with Boondox though, its a cool gimmick for a guy from the south. Plus they have been able to do a lot with that, not to say they havent done a lot with the Dead Homie thing, cuz they have done a lot with that too. Marz I don't think would have worked anyway, but I've heard a few different stories about what REALLY happened, and the only two people that really know are him and J, so I'm not going to sit here and say one way or the other what happened there. I do like ABK and I always thought the Lumbee Indian war paint was awesome since hes Lumbee. |

Even though Esham's stuff on Psy wasnt his best music, it was cool to have him always their for collabs with everybody, and same thing with Lavel. I'd like to see them both signed to Psy, and maybe even see another SV album drop, maybe even setting up for the SH album that was supposed to come. Does anybody remember back before Hell's Pit came out, there were the rumors that ICP was going to do 1 track with everybody they had ever done a track with (Project Born, Twiztid, Esham, Kid Rock, KMK, ABK, Lavel, Blaze, .... basically everybody but Marz I think). Well, what I'm getting at, is when Project Born revealed the idea, and it was killed then, there was a rumor that flew around for a while that ICP and Eminem wanted to sqash the beef by doing a track that would be released on both Hell's Pit and whatever his next album was, I don't remember what one it was now. Well it never ended up happening, but my guess is that if they really were talking about it, the problems were squashed then, and doing songs with Proof and Bizzare made it official. |

Ganjadude, I don't know if you've heard the interview at FaygoLuvers.net or not, but J does say in there that Myzery is alive, its just some promotional thing he was working on, or something along those lines. The interview was over a half hour long, it was a phone interview, real informative, lot of cool stuff in it. If you haven't heard it it is worth checking out. I had heard that with that song though it was Project Born, not J this time, that spoke to soon about the track. Don't know what is true or not though. I think like a whole gathering album with shit like that would be awesome. Also, I'd like to see JD The Weedman signed to Hatchet House, don't know how anybody else feels about that. |

I know that with a signing like this J would have consulted everybody, but I don't believe his signing is 100% official yet, every post I've read on the different sites all say "99%". I can't wait for collabs with him and Boondox, and Blaze again, and I always liked his collabs with Violent J. To this day one of my favorite songs ever is Sticky Icky Situations, and I don't smoke, but I thought J, ABK, Blaze and Esham were the shit on that song. I'd like to see Esham come back too, but I don't know if that would happen. And to just comment, somebody earlier said that half of SV left, yes and no. Lavel should have been signed, and never was, when ABK and Esham left he severed ties with Psy, he didnt have to leave cuz he was never signed. Somehow though he and Esham ended up having the naming rights for SV, which doesnt make since to me since they were a Psy group, but whatever. |

i was at the gathering this year for the only ICP seminar (Friday), and the second Twiztid Seminar (Sunday), so I don't know 100% what jamie or paul said during their first seminar. Like NYjuGGalo50187 said, it was kinda mixed views from the crowd on the ABK announcement, yet J did say that he would not be in Lotus, but they are going to make a new Lotus CD. So there is still a chance that ABK will be in it again. Not I've been to 6 gatherings so far and just about anyone who has gone to seminars knows that most of the updates on what is comin out is ideas, and thoughts nothing too solid. So when J says that its 99% complete, i wouldn't think twice bout it till that contract is inked. As far as Twiztid's 2nd Seminar went, the first question was about ABK and what was said at their last seminar, the crowd erupted in a "Fuck ABK" chant (which reminded even Paul about the "Fuck Eminem" chant a few years back at the gathering), Pauls response was then somethin like "thats bout right". According to the story twiztid told, when abk left he started talkin trash on mono and the whole psychopathic family, then the disses arose. And while it seems that ICP and ABK have squashed any beef that they may have had, Twiztid is still happy with him, but claim that if they can sit down with him and he can explain himself they may be able to work it all out. ABK performed on Saturday night, and I personally thought that it may have been his worst gathering performance yet. He had some new tracks, but people only seemed to care about the ones that they knew. if he hadn't already had a history with juggalo n psychopathic, he may have been boo'ed off of the stage. ICP cancelled their seminar Sunday, so there really is no word from ICP relating to the Twiztid/ABK issue. Though ABK did appear onstage with ICP for Mr Sesame Seed during their performance where ABK seemed much more comfortable with his old stage presence again. who knows where all this will lead. I liked abk, cept road fools, n was even lookin forward to mudface or whatever it was called. But seeing as how Twiztid are now Dons of psychopathic, this situation should never have happened. But I do think that juggalos are takin it way too personal and way too serious, for a situation that they are not involved it. smoke a blunt n chill... |
