HA I'll have to watch this when I'm not working. The problem with most "investigative reports" on counter culture subjects is they tend to start with an opinion and they are just trying to find the evidence to support it. Often when evidence doesn't turn up, they expound on whatever little bullshit they can possibly dig up on some off shoot jack ass who took shit a piece of this shit too seriously. One day, they will learn that one individual does not represent the group. Or at least, they'll apply that concept to other groups than the ones they agree with... Wishful thinking. |

"Charles Manson was a Beatles fan." That's fucking fresh. in his books he talks about how The Beatles lyrics were sercrest messages to him telling him to free black people from their white american oppressors. who knows if he really belived it or not. maybe it was just something he made up to convince them he was nuts. Blackbird was a specific song that he claimed represented this. |

Joan was quizzical, studied metaphysical Science in the home Late nights all alone with a test-tube (sounds like a perverted reference here concerning the shape of testtubes) Ohh-oh-oh-oh... Maxwell Edison majoring in medicine Calls her on the phone "Can I take you out to the pictures Joa-oa-oa-oan?" But as she's getting ready to go A knock comes on the door... Bang, bang, Maxwell's silver hammer Came down upon her head Bang, bang, Maxwell's silver hammer Made sure that she was dead Back in school again Maxwell plays the fool again (another reason for my tag nmae here) Teacher gets annoyed Wishing to avoid an unpleasant sce-e-e-ene She tells Max to stay when the class has gone away So he waits behind Writing 50 times "I must not be so-o-o-oo..." But when she turns her back on the boy He creeps up from behind Bang, bang, Maxwell's silver hammer Came down upon her head Bang, bang, Maxwell's silver hammer Made sure that she was dead B.C. Thirty-One said "we caught a dirty one" Maxwell stands alone Painting testimonial pictures ohh-oh-oh-oh Rose and Valerie screaming from the gallery Say he must go free (Maxwell must go free) The judge does not agree and he tells them so-o-o-oo But as the words are leaving his lips A noise comes from behind Bang, bang, Maxwell's silver hammer Came down upon his head Bang, Bang, Maxwell's silver hammer Made sure that he was dead 'Hey Jude' is about being hooked to heroin. give me moment and i'll show you what i mean. |

Whoa Whoa, Hey Jude was not about heroin. I've heard that before. Alot of Beatles songs that people think are about drugs aren't, and alot of ones that people don't think are about drugs are. Hey Jude is not about heroin. It was written for Julian Lennon, who Paul McCartney felt sorry for because John was a neglectful father. Got to Get You Into My Life is about weed though. |

Hey Jude don't make it bad Take a sad song and make it better (of course. you have a addiction it sucks and it is only fixed by 'getting' a fix) Remember to let her into your heart Then you can start to make it better Hey Jude don't be afraid You were made to go out and get her (he was made to go out and get a drug he is addicted to. drugs are commonly reffered to as girls) The minute you let her under your skin (heroic is of course shot into the bloodstream 'under your skin') Then you begin to make it better (obviously refers to getting the actual 'fix') And any time you feel the pain, Hey Jude, refrain Don't carry the world upon your shoulders For well you know that it's a fool who plays it cool By making his world a little colder (those four lines you could twist to refer to many things so i won't bother) Na na na na na na na na na Hey Jude don't let me down You have found her now go and get her (like calling around on the phone for a fix, found it, go to get it) Remember to let her into your heart Then you can start to make it better (just another bloodstream reference involving how the drug takes effect) So let it out and let it in ( the physical motion of using a syringe) Hey Jude begin You're waiting for someone to perform with And don't you know that it's just you Hey Jude you'll do The movement you need is on your shoulder (when alone heroic users must use their shoulder to tighten their rubberband) Na na na na na na na na na Yeah Hey Jude don't make it bad (basicly repeating of the previous) Take a sad song and make it better Remember to let her under your skin Then you'll begin to make it better Better, better, better, better, better, Yeah,Yeah,Yeah (at this climax of an ending is where i figure it is time to shoot up) (the song depicts the process of fiending, finding, doing alone and the euphoria of doing it) Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na, Hey Jude! keep in mind this song was written when they started actualy doing the drug. Paul wrote it. maybe it was a message to John who's 2nd wife Yoko had 3 (maybe more) misscarriges due to heroin. |

Cali, can't you possibly see how a world famous guy hooked to heroin would not be considered a neglectful father? gotta look depper into it. Paul and John wrote tons of material about each other. When they split up they made diss tracks just like rappers do today. Even album covers were insults in some cases between the two. Ever listened to 'How do you sleep at night'? |

Besides Cali. The Beatles always bullshitted the media about song content. In 'I am the Walrus' the outro has many trippy voices saying ' smoke pot, smoke pot, everybody smoke pot'. when confronted in an interview about this John told them . "no, its saying 'OOmpa OOmpa stick it up your joompa". more or less, 'fuck off'. |

cali ninja is correct, Paul McCartney wrote this as "Hey Jules," a song meant to comfort John Lennon's 5-year-old son Julian as his parents were getting a divorce. The change to "Jude" was inspired by the character "Jud" in the musical Oklahoma!. McCartney loves show tunes. In 1987 Julian ran into Paul in New York City when they were staying at the same hotel and he finally heard Paul tell him the story of the song first-hand. He admitted to Paul that growing up, he'd always felt closer to him than to his own father. In Steve Turner's book The Stories Behind Every Beatles Song, Julian said: "Paul told me he'd been thinking about my circumstances, about what I was going through and what I'd have to go through. Paul and I used to hang out quite a bit - more than Dad and I did... There seem to be far more pictures of me and Paul playing at that age than me and Dad. I've never really wanted to know the truth of how Dad was and how he was with me. There was some very negative stuff - like when he said that I'd come out of a whisky bottle on a Saturday night. That's tough to deal with. You think, where's the love in that? It surprises me whenever I hear the song. It's strange to think someone has written a song about you. It still touches me. |

I guess it's just a funny coincedence that the song came out around the same time they were both hooked to heroin. Even funnier that whenever an obvious drug song hit the charts they pulled the 'It's about John's son' card. Shadou. Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds like Hey Jude was said to be inspired by Julian. It was a picture he made at school and showed to his dad telling him the title of the song as the title of his drawing. of course it has nothing to do with LSD. how could anyone think that?(sarcasm) anyway. if artist were to reveal the true meanings behind all their songs it would be pretty lame. whenever you get these meanings you have to consider they are are only going to reveal so much. some songs are more personal than others and to claim some simple media explanation is all there is to it is incredibly dense and closeminded. a 'good' songwriter can't tell you every meaning their song has, because they alrady know thats not how it works. you can't contoll magic. good luck trying though. i never stop trying..... |

The "Lucy" who inspired this song was Lucy O'Donnell (later Lucy Vodden), who was a classmate of John's son Julian Lennon when he was enrolled at the private Heath House School, in Weybridge, Surrey. It was in a 1975 interview that Lennon said "Julian came in one day with a picture about a school friend of his named Lucy. He had sketched in some stars in the sky and called it Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds." The identity of the real Lucy was confirmed by Julian in 2009 when she died of complications from Lupus. Lennon re-connected with her after she appeared on a BBC broadcast where she stated: "I remember Julian and I both doing pictures on a double-sided easel, throwing paint at each other, much to the horror of the classroom attendant… Julian had painted a picture and on that particular day his father turned up with the chauffeur to pick him up from school." |

Man I just read the book "A Hard Day's Write" which was an independent person talking with the band, researching and interviewing people who associated with them at the time. Most of the drug references were actually concocted by the media and hearsay, not the other way around. As drugged out as they got, it's not what they predominantly wrote about. It's just how the drugged out culture interpreted it. And the end of I am the Walrus says "got one, got one, everybody's got one". BTW, that song is about nothing. He was trying to parody Bob Dylan with that song. Lennon's quote when writing it was "Bob Dylan gets away with murder. I can write this crap." |

There are African Americans, Mexican Americans, Asian Americans, Arab Americans, etc., etc... And then there are just Americans. You pass me on the street and sneer in my direction. You call me 'White boy,' 'Cracker,' 'Honkey,' 'Whitey,' 'Caveman'... and that's OK. But when I call you, Nigger, Kike, Towel head, Sand-nigger, Camel Jockey, Beaner, Gook, or Chink .. you call me a racist. You say that whites commit a lot of violence against you... so why are the ghettos the most dangerous places to live? You have the United Negro College Fund. You have Martin Luther King Day.. You have Black History Month. You haveCesar Chavez Day. You have Yom Hashoah. You have Ma'uled Al-Nabi. You have the NAACP. You have BET... If we had WET (White Entertainment Television), we'd be racists. If we had aWhite Pride Day, you would call us racists. If we had White History Month, we'd be racists. If we had any organization for only whites to 'advance' OUR lives, we'd be racists. We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a Black Chamber of Commerce, and then we just have the plain Chamber of Commerce. Wonder who pays for that?? A white woman could not be in the Miss Black American pageant, but any color woman can be in the Miss America pageant. If we had a college fund that only gave white students scholarships...you know we'd be racists. There are over 60 openly proclaimed Black Colleges in the US . Yet if there were 'White colleges', that would be a racist college. In the Million Man March, you believed that you were marching for your race and rights. If we marched for our race and rights, you would call us racists. You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, and you're not afraid to announce it. But when we announce our white pride, you call us racists. You rob us, carjack us, and shoot at us. But, when a white police officer shoots a black gang member or beats up a black drug dealer running from the law and posing a threat to society, you call him a racist. But a black officer beats a white drug dealer he is a hero. I am proud... But you call me a racist. Why is it that only whites can be racists?? Thank God for saint patricks day |

Some knowledge for your ass. 1. Charles Manson was not a Beatles fan, he didn't even like them, he likes the banjo. 2. He never actually killed a single person in his life, so they accused him of conspiracy instead. 3. A retarded asshole who lived with him an the girls (that were never called family) told Charlie's chicks to help him kill people who he thought Charlie had beef with. In fact Charlie had already met the man and squashed the beef, the people in his building had nothing to do with Charlie, wrong place wrong time. 4. Because there was zero evidence against Charlie the attorney made up a nonsensical story about the Beatles. If you want to know more about Manson watch the German documentary on YouTube and the interview with Reagen Jr. And don't repeat that nonsence the media made up when you complain about them talking shit about Horrorcore. Manson's just a bum and a motorcycle thug, not a satanist. |

Besides Manson's a piece of shit so who fucking cares if he's misrespresented or misquoted? The people that he had killed got it way worse than that. Oh yeah and HerbalMinded420 every month is white history month and if you think racism is such a big fucking joke go move to a country filled with brown people that think white people are inferior like Iraq. Don't be mad at us because screaming white pride makes you sound like a fucking skinhead, be mad at skinheads for fucking that phrase up for the rest of the white people. Besides nobody says shit if a white guy says he has Irish pride, or Polish pride or even American pride it's just white pride that makes you sound like a bigot. Boo fucking hoo. You live on stolen land in a country that was built by slaves and you're mad at us? Seriously? Wow, what a fucking asshole. | |
