Exclusive Interview - Genocyde Print E-mail
Written by Dark Jedi Hillz

Who?   oh...  me..   yeah and we got Genocyde tonight with another Exclusive Interview.. check it..

Im here tonight with Genocyde..  on another exclusive JuggaloNews ONLY interview..  whats up man?

not to much man, just got out of the recording booth.

oh yeah?  what are you working on?

Just a track called "Third Street" by "Third Street Klick" Featuring myself on the chorus spitting a faster lyrical 8 bars.

is it a collab effort?

that is correct.

First off..  what made you name yourself Genocyde..  is there any meaning behind it?

Well, the meaning.  It is a very powerful word with an intense meaning and I am making a powerful statement with my music saying I am killing wack rap and bringing hardcore music into the industry.

You mention looking for a hypeman..  what type of character would you think most represents what you do and what they could lend to your live shows?

Someone crazy who can help me out on stage, jump around and help make the crowd get all into it even more.  I have the ability to get hype but after a major injury on my knee im still recovering and it makes it hard at the moment to just bounce around on stage.  I need someone who can relate to underground lyrics, feel it in their heart and have the passion for music that I have.

great answer.. i feel that..  id love to but im not 20 anymore..   so you have some Metal influence..  dig deep and tell us about some of your metal background...

Living where I live it was always country music. everyone around me played it.  I love it out of all realness though but my uncle, when i was a kid, had that whole biker attitude and seemed like a "cool" kind of person to a child.  He played metal. everytime i would ride with him, i loved hearing it. It was different, the feeling you get from hearing that was unbelievable to me.  I cant put it in words.  to be able to mix something like that with what I do in Hip Hop just took it to a new level for me.

well there are plenty of metal bands out there, some even from the old thrash days..  i wouldnt be surprised if they collab'd..    something to think about

id be more than happy to do that also.  Personally im more of a hair metal fan now but I would love to work with any artist out there.  Anything to get a track out.  Music is my life and as long as the person im working with loves with they do, then I got no problem working with them.

Name the most memorable live show for you

I was doing a parody to "MC Hammers" "You Cant Touch This".  I called it "You Cant Smoke This".  Drunk as hell on stage, I try and do the hammer dance and bust my ass falling off of the stage. Everyone loved it for some reason, I got back up and tried again.  It was my second show and we had all been drinking that night, I was just a beginner so low tolerence.

Wow..   ok, im gonna go off track a bit..  do you believe in God?

Somewhat.  I do believe to an extent in an afterlife and a higher being out there.  Is it god? Man, I dont know.  After looking at some of the things in life, if there was, why would all this be going on in the economy and to people in other countries.  But then again, look at us, we are here, we exist some how and if it wasnt for some unexplainable source, how would we be here.  So many great things happen and it cant be described.

As far as the underground artists today, below Psy and Strange and SubNoize..  who would you say are the better acts?

There are alot of artists I really feel.  Q-Strange, F-Dux, Critical Bill, Ill Bill, Everlast.  They are all amazing.  The lyricism.  Out of all realism though, and alot of Juggalos hate on me for this but Eminem is one of my biggest influences.  He is so lyrical.  Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eazy E and alot of that old school hip hop/g-funk music influenced me also and If it was still around, I would say those people named above would be the better acts.

i hear that..  i came from old skool hard core rap like NWA and 2 Live..   what are some of your hobbies or interests?   are you a video game guy?   books?   movie buff?

Actually, musicial engineering, working on cars and just graphic designing are my hobbies.  I do love watching movies and every now and then a good game, especially if I had the PS3, would be all over some metal gear.  I have always had a love for mechanics though and just enjoy doing it but more or so now its engineering and graphics for my career.

Im a graphic designer since 1987..   have you seen my work?

actually, facebook was working for me and I did check it out. really enjoyed what I saw, you have some major talent man.

Thanks..  what new material are you working on?   besides your new collab we heard about

Actually I am working on a song called "Americas Most Wanted".  It is me rapping two verses but it is also myself doing a screamo sound on the chorus for something new.  May 01, 2010 also my album Resurrection will be releasing.  Intrinzik, Third Street Klick, and more will be featured on it.  No names for sure other than those two so far.

sounds good..  you got a show with PJB and Critical Bill comin up..  you excited about it?  and what are the deets?

Project Born, Critical Bill, F-Dux, Third Street Klick, Genocyde, and more.  Basically it is 10 dollars a ticket, 12 at door. Alot of artist have small sets opening up.  Myself I have a nice size set.  Going to be a huge show from what I have heard alot of artists have sold most if not all of their tickets and It should be my biggest show ever.  Am I exicted? Man that is an understatement.  I am like a fat kid in a candy shop with a shoping spree.  Just wow, loss for words when I got the call to be at that show.  Second time at this venue, always been a dream since I seen ICP and the rest of psychopathic peform there numerious times.  Tremont Music Hall, Charlotte NC, March 22.

Hahahahhaa..   classic....   any last shout outs or thank yous?

Well man, CTMK, me and him dont talk anymore but he got me in the industry. Stolen Records and the CJM, without them, I wouldnt have the fan base I do.  Third Street Klick for having my back always when needed. My fans, without those guys, I wouldnt be in music no more.  Most of all though my mom for all the support she has given me through these years and my whole life.  Thanks to them and be sure to check out my music at www.myspace.com/officialgenocydeDJH and Geno..   we ...............OUT!

Also would like to thank Dark Jedi Hillz from Juggalonews.com from taking the time to interview me and everyone else at Juggalonews.com  Really means alot to havesomeone reach out and help me just with a simple interview to get me out there more.

well I chose the misspelled version to make it different. Though as you notice in the interview, I try to spell mostly everything as proper as I can. A few words have slang but that is just me. thankyou Juggalonews for the interview and thankyou Dark Jedi Hillz.

dude for real? How many rapers are going to go by this name? it's so played out! I don't care how you spell it if 10,000 other wanna be rappers have the same name then it's pointless to try and make it in the rap game. I'm not hating on the rapper, just the rappers name. :|
