Twiztid Interview on FearNet.com! Print E-mail

Whuddup Y'all, over at Twiztid.com they have a post saying that Twiztid has a interview up on fearnet.com . Here is what the site says.

Although Monoxide and Madrox have been hard to pin down since they're traveling all over the country for their Slaughterhouse Tour, FearNet.com was able to get the guys to sit still long enough to conduct an interview with them. If you want some words from the road straight from the dynamic duo themselves head right over here and check it out!

Now here is a lil sample of the interview over at fearnet.com.

Still riding high on the huge success of their 2009 release W.I.C.K.E.D (Wish I Could Kill Every Day), horror hip-hop duo Twiztid are quickly achieving the same dedicated fan following as their Psychopathic Records label-mates Insane Clown Posse. Sure, you may know all about ICP by now (we talked with them not too long ago about their new album Bang! Pow! Boom! ), but surprisingly, the more horror-influenced duo of Jamie “Madrox” Spaniolo and Paul “Monoxide” Methric are still flying under the radar of serious horror fans like ourselves.

But we’re gonna change all that, brothers and sisters… the Twiztid team graciously took some time out from their grueling (and gruesome) 2010 “Slaughter House” Tour schedule to chat with us about their latest videos, their favorite horror flicks (these dudes are definitely down with Michael Myers, in his many screen incarnations) and their all-time biggest creep-outs (teeth… eww). Check all that and more on the other side!

FEARnet: So how's the tour going so far?

TWIZTID: Really awesome! We love getting back out on the road… it's always super fun for everyone.

Like ICP, you guys are known for putting on a wild theatrical show... what kind of new twists can the Juggalos expect this time?

We have a full-on Slaughter House – complete with dead bodies, bodies in body bags, and short-tempered evil butchers with giant mallets smashing said bodies in the heads & upper torsos, spraying blood about the crowd…

Sweet. Your videos serve up a lot of that imagery too. Speaking of which, you recently asked the fans to vote on which video they like best... have you tallied up the results?

Not yet… I believe that just went up as we were leaving for the tour.

Care to make any predictions?

If it was up to us, Michael Myers would win it all, hands down.

I’m partial to HAHAHAHAHAHA myself, because the main killer is so sincere about his little "hobby." Can you tell us how you came up with the concept for that one?

Monoxide had this great idea about having these two killers: one that travels, and one that’s home-bound, so to speak… and the twist at the end was that they meet face to face, and it's up to the viewer to imagine if they kill each other, or team up to kill the world.

I’d like to think they join forces. With all the blood and body parts flying around in that video, I'm surprised the murder scenes were all in black and white... was that your intention from the start?

Yes, it's our homage to classic horror… the way it all started.

Even in black & white, the gore effects look great... who did the special makeup?

Karri Ontko Farris and Stephanie "Shorty" Arble.

It’s quality work. I also loved the Buckets of Blood video you included on your DVD... who did the artwork and animation for that one?

The entire job was headed up by Pretend For Real Studio under Michael Taylor, aka Professor MOJO.

The style is very cool, and the story is totally surreal… when can we expect to see the next chapter?

We’re trying to take it past the video stage, and produce a full-length animated series called "Smoky and the Bat," but that's all I can say about it at this time.

Much love Y'all

Peace

I was thinkin about goin to the Twiztid show at Bogarts next month on the 6th. I hope its better than the End Of Days tour at the Madison Theater in Covington, KY, cuz to me the show, was good and all it was just missing We Dont Die, how in the hell can they do a show without their trademark song?
